Graduate students: We are currently seeking hard working, motivated graduate students, who have the potential to work independently, for our research group. Since we use molecular, genetic, biochemical, and microscopic techniques in our work, previous experience with plants is not necessary. However, students should be prepared to acquire basic knowledge on plant biology. Minorities and underrepresented students are encouraged to apply.
Postdoctoral Research Associate: We are currently seeking a postdoctoral research associate to join our group. Prior experience with genetic, molecular, and biochemical techniques is necessary. Individual should be able to work independently, and should be prepared to work along with other undergraduate and graduate students, who they will guide as necessary.
Undergraduate students: Additionally, opportunities are available in our lab for undergraduate research experience in plant molecular biology. Undergraduate students who wish to register for Bio 4299 (undergraduate research) should register for two consecutive semesters. Minorities and underrepresented students are encouraged to apply.
Summer Research Interns: We also accept motivated high school students (either juniors or seniors) for short-term research projects. Students should be able to spend 4-6 weeks during the summer time. If you are interested, please contact us.
