During telophase, the spindle apparatus disappears, the nucleoli of the cell begin to reform, and a nuclear membrane forms around each set of daughter chromosomes. As telophase progresses, the chromosomes become more and more diffuse until they no longer appear as discrete bodies. Cytokinesis, or division of the cytoplasm, also typically occurs during telophase. At this point, the two daughter nuclei have entered the next interphase. |
