Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Biology Graduate Student Organization (BGSO) is to represent the interests of the Biology graduate students and facilitate graduate student communication and interaction.

BGSO News

Lounge -- We are working on improving the Graduate Student Lounge. It is Supple 134 and there is a fridgerator and coffee maker for use by graduate students. We will soon have a much newer used PC in lounge. Mary and Jonny are looking into aqcuiring a couch for the room as well.

Meetings and Gatherings

First Friday -- A primarily social gathering on the first friday of every month.

- October 2008 First Friday BBQ

- Our next First Friday will be November 6th, 2009 at 6pm near Lucio Park in San Marcos Come join us for beers and bbq, it's BYOE(everything). Although someone will probably have a cooler and a grill already going! Email an officer if you have any questions.

Evolution, Ecology and Behavior (EEB) -- Meets every other friday at the greenhouse
