Travel:
South Padre Island is served by two international airports: Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport, serviced by Continental Airline, is located just 26 miles from the island and Valley International Airport, serviced by Southwest and Continental Airlines, is located in Harlingen, approximately 40 miles from the island. Ground shuttles are available for from both airports and discounted rates will most likely be available. Check back later for negotiated rates for airport shuttle to/from hotel.
Accommodations:
The annual meeting will be held at the Sheraton South Padre Island Beach Hotel and Condominiums. The Sheraton Beach Hotel has 200 rooms and 45 condominiums, with each room featuring ocean views, refrigerators, and wireless internet. The hotel is situated on the beach and includes 6,000 foot swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, and swim-up bar. Check back here shortly with negotiated rate and reservation information. There are also over 30 other hotels on the island with rates varying between $45/night to $159/night. There are also several campgrounds and bed and breakfasts on the island.
