Science Education

Science Education at Texas State University

Science Education is a program designed to help current teachers, provide program evaluations, and create new teachers for the future. Heavily devoted to teacher training, the Science Education program looks at lab safety and middle school science curricula to guarantee maximum quality. Members of the program supervise student training, and teach the introductory science methods courses. Science Education also incorporates elements of "inquiry science," in which students do experiments where the answers are not always known, diverging from the more traditional educational experiments done in laboratories.

The Science Education program is able to grant teachers' certification.
